Port Vale 2-2 OUFC (Dunkley 11, Crowley 19)
After dominating the 1st half and taking a well deserved 0-2 lead by half time, United failed to continue in the same vein after the break. Within 15 minutes of the restart the home side had drawn level! The U's missed a golden chance to make it 1-3 before Vale were awarded a soft penalty to get a share of the points.

FA Cup 1st Round Draw
United have been drawn AWAY to Merstham who play in the Ryman Premier League

OUFC 1-0 Bradford City (Maguire 90+1)
A much improved performance saw the U's end the Bantam's unbeaten start to the season with a stunning injury time free kick from Chris Maguire. United, who started with Ryan Taylor playing wide left midfield, created the first chance of the game. Taylor played the ball across to Edwards, whose cross found Maguire 20 yards out and the Bantam's 'keeper was forced to palm the ball for a corner. The 'keeper again denied Maguire, this time a downward header from MacDonald's cross. United had a let off on 20 minutes when the visitors were awarded a soft penalty, but Clarke's well stuck kick crashed onto the crossbar. Hiwula found himself free 12 yards out as the U's appealed for offside but fired wide when he should have scored. As the 1st half drew to a close Wes Thomas (injury) was replaced by Marvin Johnson. HT 0-0

Joe Skarz could be out for 2-3 weeks after the injury to his shoulder v AFC Wimbledon. The good news is that it was not dislocated. He has lifted the ACL joint in his shoulder slightly.

OUFC 1-3 AFC Wimbledon
A poor performance by United amid controversial decisions by the referee in front of the TV cameras. United had two penalty appeals turned down and also felt that Wimbledon should have had a man sent off. The 1st AFC goal came from poor defending at a corner. Wimbledon's 2nd goal was allowed despite a reckless 2 footed lunge on Wes Thomas which should have seen the offender get a red card. The 3rd goal just before half time after the U's lost possesion in midfield.
The second half saw an improved effort by United who got an early breakthrough via an own goal. Despite putting pressure on the Wimbledon goal the U's failed to add to their score. United also lost Joe Skarz on 74 minutes with a shoulder injury.

U's v Wombles

OUFC 2-0 S*****n Town
Maguire 44(pen), 61
Man of the Match Chris Maguire's double strike saw Oxford extend their winning run in the A420 Derby to six in a tasty match at Grenoble Road.
Maguire was closest to opening the scoring, when his shot from outside the area was tipped over by the 'keeper. Maguire was not to be denied though. A surging run by Liam Sercombe ended with the midfirlder being brought down and after consulting the linesman the referee awarded a penalty. Maguire smashed the ball into the top right corner, the keeper did get his fingers on the ball but to no avail. There was no time for the U's to build on their lead as the half time whistle went.
The U's continued to dominate in the second half and netted a second when Maguire closed down a backpass and diverted Vigouroux’s attempted clearance into the net on 61 minutes.
The visitors were then reduced to ten men when Jones was dismissed for a second yellow, before MacDonald was denied by a great save. The 'keeper was then shown a second yellow late on for retaliating following a tackle by MacDonald, who was also booked.
