A Liam Sercombe goal after 33 minutes gave United a well deserved victory over the league leaders. The game could have been over by half time as United hit the woodwork twice through MacDonald and Taylor and had a 'goal' ruled out when Hylton was judged to have took the ball out of bounds before pulling it back to Roofe.
The U's had to work harder defensively in the second half as the Pilgrims up their game. Hoban was unlucky not to make it 2-0 in injury time but his header was tipped onto the tha bar by McCormick.

It's 3rd v 1st at the Kassam tonight as the U's take on league leaders Plymouth. There will be one enforced change to the U's line up following Jordan Graham's sending off at Orient on Saturday.
